What We Are Doing
We are providing an emergency shelter and meal to our neighbors during times of extreme weather or disaster.
When the temperature is 28 degrees Fahrenheit (28°F) or below and during other hazardous conditions, the Veneta Warm Shelter operates 5:00 pm–8:00 am. Check back for the activation status.
If you want to give financially to help, click below.
DATED 12/24/2020: Thank you to everyone who helped with this first activation 12/22 and 12/23. You gave people a warm space to be safe.

We need you to volunteer and help those in need in the Fern Ridge Area.
There are many ways you can help. We need people to help run the shelter, help with food, help gather supplies, help with cleaning the shelter, give financially, etc..
Here’s how: To start the process of volunteering, please follow the three steps below. Once you have finished the 3 step process, one of the Shelter Coordinators will contact you to answer any questions you may have and help you get connected to volunteer opportunities.
Step 1) Training Video and Volunteer Manual
a) Watch the first training video showing a walk through of the shelter, then b) read the Volunteer Manual and/or watch the second training video explaining the Volunteer Manual, and then c) fill out the form, in step 2, saying you have completed the training.
Volunteer Training Manual: Please download the PDF manual and read it before filling out the Volunteer form in step 2.
Step 2) Sign-Up to Volunteer
Fill out the form below in full.
Step 3) Sign-Up for Shifts
Once a coordinator contacts you and gives you the “OK to serve”, you can sign-up for shifts by clicking on the link below when the shelter is on standby.
